طلاب من 16 مدرسة تابعة للأونروا في شمال غزة تطوعوا لتنظيف وتجميل مدارسهم
طالب من مدرسة تابعه للأونروا في شمال غزة يشارك في "يوم التطوع" الذي نفذ في 4 فبراير 2016، جميع الحقوق محفوظة: الأونروا 2016،تصويرتامرحمام.
احياء ليوم التطوع العالمي والذي أقيم في 4 فبراير 2016، شارك نحو 200 طالب من مدارس الأونروا مع المرشدين النفسيين والمدرسين وأولياء أمورهم بالإضافة إلي قادة من المجتمع المحلي في فعالية " يوم التطوع " في شمال غزة وذلك لتعزيز مفهوم التطوع بين الشباب في غزة.
وقال الطالب في الصف الثالث ابراهيم صالح " لقد شعرت بالسعادة الغامرة لمشاركتي في يوم التطوع وفي تنظيف مدرستي والمنطقة المحيطة .اتمنى ان تكون هناك فعاليات مماثلة ".
يذكر بأن يوم التطوع هو جهد مشترك بين برامج الأونروا المختلفة والتي تشمل برنامج التعليم وبرنامج الصحة النفسية المجتمعية وبرنامج البنية التحتية وتطوير المخيمات. وتهدف هذه الفعالية إلى تعزيز روح التطوع بين طلاب المدارس والحفاظ على علاقة تعاون بين المدرسة وعائلات الطلاب وذلك بإشراك أولياء الأمور في الأنشطة التي تنظمها المدارس.
وتضمن "يوم التطوع" عدة أنشطة إحتوت على سبيل المثال التنظيف المشترك لمحيط المدرسة أو طلاء وتزيين جدران المدرسة.
" نحن نعزز الرفاه الإجتماعي للطلاب من خلال دمجهم الكامل في الأنشطة اللامنهجية والتي تخدم المجتمع الخارجي فجميع الأنشطة مبنية على مبدأ العمل ضمن فريق وذلك بإشراك الطلاب والمدرسين والمرشدين وممثلي المجتمع المحلي" صرح السيد/ خالد ناصر مشرف برنامج الأونروا للصحة النفسية المجتمعية والذي نظم الفعالية.
معلومات عامة:
تواجه الأونروا طلبا متزايدا على خدماتها بسبب زيادة عدد لاجئي فلسطين المسجلين ودرجة هشاشة الأوضاع التي يعيشونها وفقرهم المتفاقم. ويتم تمويل الأونروا بشكل كامل تقريبا من خلال التبرعات الطوعية فيما لم يقم الدعم المالي بمواكبة مستوى النمو في الاحتياجات. ونتيجة لذلك فإن الموازنة البرامجية للأونروا، والتي تعمل على دعم تقديم الخدمات الرئيسة، تعاني من عجز كبير يتوقع أن يصل في عام 2016 إلى 81 مليون دولار. أما برامج الأونروا الطارئة والمشروعات الرئيسة، والتي تعاني أيضا من عجز كبير، فيتم تمويلها عبر بوابات تمويل منفصلة.
تأسست الأونروا كوكالة تابعة للأمم المتحدة بقرار من الجمعية العامة في عام 1949، وتم تفويضها بتقديم المساعدة والحماية لحوالي خمسة ملايين لاجئ من فلسطين مسجلين لديها. وتقتضي مهمتها بتقديم المساعدة للاجئي فلسطين في الأردن وسورية ولبنان وسورية والضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة ليتمكنوا من تحقيق كامل إمكاناتهم في مجال التنمية البشرية وذلك إلى أن يتم التوصل لحل عادل ودائم لمحنتهم. وتشتمل خدمات الأونروا على التعليم والرعاية الصحية والإغاثة والخدمات الاجتماعية والبنية التحتية وتحسين المخيمات والإقراض الصغير.

In the spirit of the World Voluntary Day, on 4 February 200 UNRWA students together with UNRWA counsellors, teachers, their parents and local community leaders, participated in a "volunteering day" activity in North Gaza to promote volunteering perspectives among youths in Gaza.
"I felt very happy participating on this voluntary day, and on cleaning my school and the surrounding area, I wish to have regular activities like this one" commented Ibrahim Saleh, third grade.
The volunteering day was a joint effort of different UNRWA programmes, including the Education Programme, Community Mental Health Programme (CMHP), and the Infrastructure and Camp Improvement Programme. The event aimed to enhance the spirit of volunteering among schoolchildren and maintain a cooperative relationship among the school and the students 'families' by involving parents in activities organized by the schools.
During the "volunteering day" such activities included for example the joint cleaning of school surroundings, or the painting and decorating of school walls.
"We promote the schoolchildren's well-being through their full engagement in non-curricular activities that serve the wider community; all activities are based on a team work approach involving students, teachers, counsellors and community representatives, "explained Khaled Nasser, the UNRWA Community Mental Health Programme supervisor who organized the event.
Background Information
UNRWA is confronted with an increased demand for services resulting from a growth in the number of registered Palestine refugees, the extent of their vulnerability and their deepening poverty. UNRWA is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions and financial support has been outpaced by the growth in needs. As a result, the UNRWA Programme Budget, which supports the delivery of core essential services, operates with a large shortfall, projected for 2016 to stand at US$ 81 million. UNRWA emergency programmes and key projects, also operating with large shortfalls, are funded through separate funding portals.
UNRWA is a United Nations agency established by the General Assembly in 1949 and mandated to provide assistance and protection to some 5 million registered Palestine refugees. Its mission is to help Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank and the Gaza Strip achieve their full human development potential, pending a just and lasting solution to their plight. UNRWA services encompass education, health care, relief and social services, camp infrastructure and improvement, and microfinance.
