ألعاب المرح الصيفية: فرصة لينمّي الأطفال إبداعهم باستخدام مواد من البيئة

في 23 يوليو 2016، أطلقت الأونروا برنامج أسابيع المرح الصيفية لمدة ثلاثة أسابيع حيث نال 165,000 طفل فلسطيني لاجيء فرصة المشاركة في أنشطة مختلفة مثل كرة القدم، والرسم، ولعب الألعاب، وورش الحرف اليدوية، بما فيها إعادة التدوير.
توفّر أسابيع المرح الصيفية فرص العمل المؤقتة لـ 2,300 شخص في الوقت الذي وصلت فيه نسبة البطالة بين الشباب 60 بالمائة في غزة. كما تشكل ألعاب الصيف فرصة لإنعاش السوق المحلي من خلال شراء كميات كبيرة من الطعام والعصائر من الموردين في غزة للطلاب المشاركين في أسابيع المرح الصيفية.
وتأخذ المبادرة القضايا البيئية بعين الاعتبار. ومن خلال الأنشطة المختلفة في مواقع أسابيع المرح الصيفية التابعة للأونروا يتم إستخدام جميع مخلفات البيئة مثل الزجاجات البلاستيكية والعجلات والحبال والإسفنج المتوفرة في مخزن كارني لورش إعادة التدوير.
وقد تطوعت السيدة ميشيل فان فلاسلار وهي فنانة بلجيكية زائرة وخبيرة في العمل بالزجاج والضوء بوقتها لتشارك خبرتها في هذا المجال مع الأطفال المشاركين في أسابيع المرح الصيفية من خلال ورش إعادة التدوير في إنتاج قطع فنية جميلة بالدمج بين البلاستك الشفاف والضوء.
" أود تحفيز خيال الأطفال باللعب بالضوء وإبداعهم في استخدام مواد غير عادية كنا عادة ما نلقيها" قالت السيدة ميشيل.
وسيشارك الأطفال في أسابيع المرح الصيفية في ورش إعادة التدوير مع الفنانة للعب ولمشاركة المرح وكذلك للمساعدة في الحفاظ على البيئة لتبقى نظيفة.
" شاركت في أنشطة مختلفة ولكن وجدت ورشة إعادة التدوير ممتعة للغاية. لم أتخيل على الإطلاق أنه باستطاعتي صنع حرف يدوية جميلة من أشياء كنت أعتقد أنها قمامة،" قالت إسراء الحلبي طالبة في الصف السابع التي تشارك في أسابيع المرح الصيفية.
وسيتم اختيار أفضل أعمال صُنعت خلال أسابيع المرح الصيفية للسفر إلي بلجيكا. كما وسيشارك مجموعة من الشباب البلجيكي في الخريف القادم في نفس الورش الفنية التي أقيمت في غزة، ويتبع تلك الورش معرضًا فنيًا مشتركًا للأعمال الفنية للأطفال والشباب في غزة وبلجيكا حيث سيتم جمع الأعمال فيما بعد للمشاركة في معرض فني ضخم.
حول الأونروا:
تواجه الأونروا طلبا متزايدا على خدماتها بسبب زيادة عدد لاجئي فلسطين المسجلين ودرجة هشاشة الأوضاع التي يعيشونها وفقرهم المتفاقم. ويتم تمويل الأونروا بشكل كامل تقريبا من خلال التبرعات الطوعية فيما لم يقم الدعم المالي بمواكبة مستوى النمو في الاحتياجات. ونتيجة لذلك فإن الموازنة البرامجية للأونروا، والتي تعمل على دعم تقديم الخدمات الرئيسة، تعاني من عجز كبير يتوقع أن يصل في عام 2016 إلى 74 مليون دولار. أما برامج الأونروا الطارئة والمشروعات الرئيسة، والتي تعاني أيضا من عجز كبير، فيتم تمويلها عبر بوابات تمويل منفصلة.
تأسست الأونروا كوكالة تابعة للأمم المتحدة بقرار من الجمعية العامة في عام 1949، وتم تفويضها بتقديم المساعدة والحماية لحوالي خمسة ملايين لاجئ من فلسطين مسجلين لديها. وتقتضي مهمتها بتقديم المساعدة للاجئي فلسطين في الأردن وسورية ولبنان والضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة ليتمكنوا من تحقيق كامل إمكاناتهم في مجال التنمية البشرية وذلك إلى أن يتم التوصل لحل عادل ودائم لمحنتهم. وتشتمل خدمات الأونروا على التعليم والرعاية الصحية والإغاثة والخدمات الاجتماعية والبنية التحتية وتحسين المخيمات والحماية والإقراض الصغير.
Summer Fun Weeks: Children Develop Their Creativity Using Materials from their Environment

On 23 July 2016, UNRWA launched its Summer Fun Weeks (SFWs) Programme. For three weeks, almost 165,000 registered Palestine refugee children are being given the chance to participate in different activities such as football, drawing, playing games and handicraft workshops including recycling.
Summer Fun Weeks provide temporary job opportunities to 2,300 people at a time when 60 per cent of the youth in Gaza are unemployed. It's also a chance to boost local markets; through purchasing large quantities of food and drink from Gaza suppliers for the students participating in the Summer Fun Weeks.
The initiative is also conscious of environmental issues. Waste materials such as plastic bottles, tires, ropes and sponges available at Karni warehouse are used for recycling workshops at different locations across Gaza.
Ms. Michèle Vanvlasselaer is a visiting Belgian artist who is experienced in working with glass and light. Through the theme of recycling, she volunteered her time to share her experience in this field with the children participating in the SFWs. She helped them to produce beautiful pieces of art out of the interplay between transparent plastic materials and light. Each piece of art will represent a small scene.
"I want to stimulate the imagination of young people by letting them play with light and their creativity by using unusual materials, that we would normally throw away," Michèle said.
The students in the SFWs will participate in recycling workshops with the artist to play and share fun as well as helping to keep the environment clean.
Israa Al Halabi, a student in seventh grade participating in SFWs, said: "I participated in different activities, but I found the recycling workshop very interesting. I never imagined I could make beautiful handicrafts from things that I thought are rubbish".
The best works created during the Summer Fun Weeks will be selected to travel to Belgium. In autumn, young people in Brussels will participate in the same type of art workshop as in Gaza. Following this, a joint exhibition including both the artworks of children and youth in Gaza and Belgium will connect the smaller scenes to each other in order to create one large story.
